Terms of service
These are plain terms for working with Kediora Studio. Nothing fancy, just what you should know before we start.
Services
We design and build websites and web apps. Each project is scoped individually based on what you need. A free mockup carries no obligation to buy, you are welcome to walk away with no cost.
Quotes and payment
Prices are quoted per project after we understand what you need. Typical terms are 50 percent up front to start the work and 50 percent at launch, once the site is ready to go live.
Scope and changes
Every project has an agreed scope based on the mockup and our conversations. If you want to add pages, features, or significant changes after we start, we will quote the extra work before doing it, so there are no surprises.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time. The deposit covers the design and build work already done, so it is non-refundable once work has started. If you cancel partway through, you owe for the work completed up to that point and you keep whatever has been delivered. If we cancel before delivering anything, we refund your deposit in full.
Stalled or abandoned projects
Projects move fastest when you send content and feedback promptly. If we do not hear from you for 30 days after asking for something we need to continue, we may pause the project and treat it as inactive. We will always try to reach you first. Restarting a long-paused project may require a fresh quote if pricing or scope has changed.
Ownership
Once a project is paid in full, you own your site and its code. There is no lock-in and no proprietary platform holding your work hostage.
Pre-existing and third-party assets
We may use our own reusable code, tools, libraries, and open-source components to build your site. You own the final site and its custom code once the project is paid in full, but general-purpose tools and open-source components stay under their original licenses and are not exclusive to you.
Content you provide
You are responsible for the text, images, logos, and other materials you give us, and for having the right to use them. By sending us content you confirm you have permission to use it. We are not responsible for claims that arise from content you supply.
Hosting and domains
You own your domain and your site. Hosting is optional. You can host the finished site anywhere you like, or we can host and maintain it for a monthly fee agreed in advance. If we host for you and you later stop the service, we hand over your site and its code so you can move it.
Recurring services
Any ongoing service, such as hosting, maintenance, or monthly edits, is billed on a recurring basis at the rate we agree. You can cancel a recurring service at any time, and it stops at the end of the current billing period. We do not lock you into long contracts.
Third-party costs
Some features rely on outside services that charge their own fees, for example a domain registrar, a payment processor like Stripe, email or text-message providers, or premium fonts and images. Those fees are billed by the provider and are your responsibility unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Revisions and timeline
Most sites take one to two weeks from kickoff to launch. Revisions are included within reason as we go, until you are happy with the result.
Warranty
Work is provided as is. We do our best to build something that works well and looks great, but we do not guarantee specific business outcomes like search rankings or sales.
Liability
Our liability for any claim related to a project is limited to the amount you paid for that project.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version always lives on this page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pennsylvania, United States.
